Face of Homelessness

We would like to thank Kofi Opoku for allowing us to include pieces of his work in the Humans of Morgantown campaign.

Opoku’s curiosity and his experience volunteering in a meals program for the unsheltered population in Morgantown inspired the creation of Face of Homelessness. He wants his website to serve as a voice for people who are currently unhoused or have recently been housed.

His website does not exist to solicit funds for people experiencing houselessness or to list resources or places where you can volunteer. Instead, Opoku asks that you lend your ears to these people and listen to their stories. You will discover that the reasons for houselessness are nuanced.

If you are interested in seeing more of Opoku’s work, visit the Face of Homelessness website.
